An Ambassador For Preparedness

Posted by Jason Perez on

We are honored and privileged to be recognized among the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors™. This program is an "effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water, and climate events.

The NOAA Weather-Ready Nation initiative recognizes that preparedness and readiness is more than just a governmental responsibility and stresses the importance of community preparedness as a whole. We at Instinct Ready we are dedicated to helping educate, prepare, and equip communities to be resilient in the face of disaster. We have always stressed the importance of education and awareness across all areas of society. The reality is preparedness is the responsibility of everyone and it starts at home.
In an effort to assist communities in this regard, we have created a two hour curriculum that covers the fundamentals of disaster preparedness in the community and individual family setting. To learn more about this class click here. This class covers performing a risk assessment, how to create an Emergency Action Plan (EAP), as well as how to prepare emergency supplies before a disaster strikes.

It is our hope that through our educational programs that you too can be an ambassador for preparedness and resilience in your own community.
